Among the traditional liturgical books of the Roman liturgy, published in the wake of the Council of Trent, the Ritual, from the chronological point of view, and the last. The Breviarium Romanum (1568), the Missale Romanum (1570), the Martyrologium Romanum (1584), the Pontificale Romanum (1595-1596) and the Caerimoniale Episcopurum (1600). All texts (except the Martyrologium of imminent publication) are part of the Concilii Tridentini Liturgical Monument. The Ritual Romanum of Paul V, reproduced here in anastatic edition, contains the formulas and rites that the priest and the assembly must follow for the celebration of sacraments and sacramental (including blessings and exorcisms).
