Saint Joseph, (in Hebrew: יוֹסֵף^?, Yosef; Ancient Greek Ιωσηφ, Ioseph; in Latin: Ioseph) according to the New Testament, it is the groom of Mary and the rotten father of Jesus; he is defined as a right man.

He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. He was declared patron of the Catholic Church by Blessed Pius IX on 8 December 1870.
