The necklace reproduces liturgical works fruit of the intuition and decisions of the Council of Trent (1545-1563). The Pontifical Romanum was published under the pontificate of Clement VIII in 1596.

In this fifth volume of the necklace are contained the indexing of the formulas present in the previous four books of the same series and thus completes the picture of the liturgical heritage that characterized the Church of the Roman Rite from the times of the Council of Trent until the Second Vatican Council.
